A Passion for the Deep

Explore the ocean with us

2017

In Galapagos Evolution, I set out with a team of world-class free divers and marine ambassadors, including Pierre-Yves Cousteau and Guillaume Néry, to explore the breathtaking biodiversity of the Galapagos Islands.

Through close encounters with hammerhead sharks and manta rays, this film challenges our perception of marine life and asks a vital question: Can we learn to coexist with nature before it’s too late? Available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and Vimeo On Demand.

2018

In Socorro Evolution, I led an expedition to Mexico’s Revillagigedo Archipelago, one of the last truly wild marine ecosystems on Earth. With a team that included Jean-Jacques Mayol and Estrella Navarro Holm, we spent ten days capturing stunning encounters with dolphins, manta rays, and false killer whales.

This documentary is a testament to the beauty of the ocean and the urgent need to protect it. Available on iTunes, Amazon Prime, and Google Play.

Voices from the Deep: What viewers are saying.

A visually stunning masterpiece! Roberto Ochoa captures the raw beauty of the ocean like no one else, reminding us of the delicate balance between humans and marine life. Socorro Evolution left me speechless—every frame is a tribute to nature’s wonders.

Roberto Ochoa takes you on an adventure beneath the waves, where every scene feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Galapagos Evolution and Socorro Evolution are more than films—they are powerful reminders of why we must protect our oceans.
